Seed balls are made using 50% compost and 50% clay with a sprinkling of cayenne to deter pesky nibbling during the early stages.
The balls help to protect the seedlings and can be stored in a cool, dark place until ready to use.The gift pack contains the following:

(please note the twine may sometimes shed fibres which can be brushed off on arrival).
Your order will come in Plastic free packaging. There is a bee stamp on the envelope which is water based and acid free, plus some washi paper tape for an extra seal.
Please note that seed bombs sometimes take a little longer to germinate. There is no need to break them up or dig them into the soil, however watering them will help soften the clay/compost mix. After 1-3 weeks you should start to see some seedlings emerging.
The last photo shows the plants from one seed ball beginning to spread out as they mature.
Please note that some wildflowers flower at different times of the year and some may flower the following year. Conditions will also vary according to Mother Nature's whimsical ways!
The seed pods contain a variety of Bee & Butterfly Friendly Wildflowers, which includes the following:-
Californian Poppy, Chamomile, (Red/White) Clover, Corncockle, Cornflower, Corn Marigold, Corn Poppy, Forget-Me-Not, Foxglove, Golden Tickseed, Northern Lights, Oxeye Daisy, Pheasant Eye, Purple Tansy, Red Campion, Sainfoin, Salad Burnet
NB: these are a mix of native & non native seeds (all packed in the UK).
